Train with Haley
Haley Ritzlmayr — Certification Trainer
Haley mentors trainees through each step of the Provider Process, with a focus on embodied learning, safety, containment, and clarity in practice.
About TRE® & our approach
TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) is a body-led method that invites gentle, natural shaking — the tremor mechanism — to help release stored tension. When practiced with grounding and self-regulation, tremors can support the nervous system to settle and build resilience over time.
Our training emphasises embodiment — learning by experience, not just theory. You’ll develop a felt sense of safety, pacing, and containment in your own practice first, then learn to guide others ethically and within scope.
Overview
Structure: Training consists of two 3-day modules (Module 1 & 2) and a 3-day Module 3, with monthly supervision days in between. Most trainees complete the pathway in 8 months to 2 years, depending on supervision cadence and prior experience.
Start here: Module 1 is open to everyone. From here you can continue into the TRE® Provider Process — a guided journey to certification, supported by supervision and practice.
What you’ll gain: An embodied understanding of the neurophysiology and anatomy of stress and trauma; the ability to hold a safe, contained space; and practical skills to work with individuals and small groups using TRE® tools and principles.
Modules & Supervision
Module 1 — Meet your tremor mechanism
Module 1 is about meeting yourself — connecting with your body’s natural release through tremoring. You’ll explore grounding, self-regulation, orienting, and how to work within your window of tolerance. It’s a supported introduction to safe, contained shaking. Open to everyone; continue from here into the Provider Process if you wish.
Module 2 — Teaching individuals
Module 2 focuses on one-to-one facilitation: session flow, assessment and pacing, consent and boundaries, safety plans and contra-indications, language that reduces activation, and adapting TRE® for diverse bodies and life stages.
Module 3 — Groups & community
Module 3 translates your skills to small groups: preparing a room, contracting and group agreements, demonstration with assistants, co-regulation in groups, spotting overwhelmed states, and closing a session so people leave grounded.
Supervision rhythm
Between modules you’ll attend monthly supervision to integrate practice, ask questions, and receive feedback. Expect a blend of in-person and online sessions depending on the schedule; where offered, distance learners join via Zoom. Many sessions run on selected Saturdays, typically 08:30–12:30.
Typical requirements
- Personal practice and reflective journals
- Private mentor sessions after training blocks
